Water Plant Project
Work is projected to begin in early 2016 for a project to replace the city’s current water plant, which is nearly 100 years old. The new plant will be constructed at the top of “Reservoir Hill,” the hill above High and Terrace Streets, where one of the city’s current reservoir tanks is located. In addition to the construction of a new plant, the project will also include a new 3 million gallon reservoir, and some new water mains, lift stations, and other infrastructure components in various locations around the city.
