Yard Waste Recycling

Last modified on March 24th, 2023 at 05:51 pm

In compliance with federal and state laws, the City of Elkins cannot accept yard waste as part of regular trash collection.

Instead, the city offers yard-waste recycling as a year-round drop-off service at the City of Elkins Street Department (1 Baxter Street). The drop-off site is behind the Street Department garage. To reach the containers, drive past the garage, turn right on Chestnut Street, and turn right into the gravel lot behind the Street Department garage. Here is a dropped pin showing the precise location of the containers on Google Maps.
