
EFD Media Statement; Fire at 122 Bruce Street
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fire at 122 Bruce Street Quickly Contained; No Injuries Reported
Elkins, WV, August 13, 2025: At approximately 5:43 a.m. today, the Elkins Fire Department (EFD) responded to a reported structural fire at 122 Bruce Street in Elkins.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed the residence was unoccupied and secure. Assisting EFD was the Beverly Volunteer Fire Department, with a total of 18 firefighters working to contain the fire.
The fire was brought under control within one hour. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. An initial investigation determined the cause to be electrical in nature.
