Boards & Commissions
Many important city policies and projects are designed and managed not by the mayor and council but by the city’s boards and commissions. Although council and, in some cases, the mayor are are responsible for appointing members, these boards and commissions are independent entities that enable their volunteer citizen members to play a vital role in city governance.
