Utility Billing

The Utility Billing office provides customer service to the city’s water, sewer and sanitation customers, including starting and stopping service, ordering roll-off dumpsters, and responding to inquiries about billing.

Fire & Rescue Service Fees

The City of Elkins charges a Fire & Rescue Service Fee to all property owners served by the Elkins Fire Department.

Information on business and street vendor licensing, as well as business and hotel/motel taxing.

Parking Space Rental

In addition to the free parking lot behind city hall, the city operates two parking lots where spaces may be rented for $15 a month. Parking space rentals are administered by the Finance Department.

Local Tax Structure

Elkins property owners pay real-estate taxes imposed by the state, county, school system, and city. There is a local sales tax, in addition to the state sales tax. There is no local income tax.
