The City of Elkins Water Department is committed to providing safe and clean drinking water to all residents. As part of our ongoing efforts, we are notifying affected customers about the presence of lead and galvanized service lines in our water system. Currently, 17 residents are affected by lead service lines and 256 residents are affected by galvanized service lines.
We have created notices to ensure you have important information regarding lead and galvanized service lines. These notices include health considerations, steps for reducing potential risks, and available resources for assistance.
