Elkins City Hall News: Week of May 13, 2024
Elkins W. Va., May 10, 2024: The Municipal Properties Committee, the Finance Committee, the Elkins Water Board, and City Council meet the week of May 13.
The Municipal Properties Committee meets Monday at 11:00 a.m. Items on the agenda include a discussion on downtown sidewalks; a discussion on the City Hall parking lot; and a proposed project for the relocation of a sewer line under a city-owned property near 11th Street.
The Finance Committee meets Monday at 1:00 p.m. Items on the agenda include funding for the City Hall HVAC project.
City Council meets Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be preceded by a public hearing concerning proposed zoning for an unzoned parcel near North 12th Street. The meeting agenda may be adjusted through Monday. Items on the agenda include the final reading of an ordinance abandoning and closing a section of Coke Alley; the first readings of ordinances annexing parcels on Redbud Lane and adjacent to the Elkins Water Plant; first reading of an ordinance amending the Zoning Code’s limit on height of accessory buildings; the first reading of an ordinance imposing zoning on an unzoned parcel near North 12th Street; and new rules for use of the downtown sound system.
Utility bills and in-city fire fees are due May 20.
