Elkins City Hall News: Week of July 1, 2024
Elkins W. Va., June 28, 2024: The Public Safety Committee, the Personnel Committee, the Rules & Ordinances Committee, and the Elkins Tree Board meet the week of July 1.
The Public Safety Committee meets Monday at 10:00 a.m. Items on the agenda include reports on public safety concerns throughout the city.
The Personnel Committee meets Monday at 1:00 p.m. Items on the agenda include discussion on the addition of new holidays; discussion on sick leave donations; and a personnel policy update.
The Rules & Ordinances Committee meets Monday at 3:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include discussion on a city charter election date conflict and discussion on the cybersecurity policy.
The Elkins Tree Board meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include discussion on tree watering; discussion for a Kump workday; and information on new board members.
City Hall will be closed starting at noon on Wednesday, July 3, and will be closed on Thursday in observance of Independence Day. Garbage picked up on Thursdays will be picked up on Wednesday, July 3, beginning at 6:00 a.m.
The City Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 4, is canceled due to Independence Day (Holiday) and has been rescheduled to Thursday, July 11.
Utility bills and in city fire fees were mailed out June 28 and are due July 17. 2nd quarter B&Os were mailed out June 28 and are due July 31.
