Elkins City Hall News: Week of October 28, 2024

Elkins W. Va., October 25, 2024: City Hall remains closed to the public until further notice. All City Hall departments will be working remotely and will be available by phone and email, although responses may be delayed.

3rd quarter B&O taxes are due October 31.

Utility payments, court payment plans, and issue citations can be made by mail, in-person, using our drop-off box, or by paying online. The drop-off box is located in the parking lot behind City Hall located at 401 Davis Ave., Elkins, West Virginia, 26241.

When dropping off your payment, make sure to include the correct information. If information is missing, it may delay the processing of the payment.

The Water Board meets on Monday at 4:00 p.m. Items on the agenda include Water Board Invoices; Public Water System Manager/Chief Operator Compensation; and Updated Personnel Policy.

The TIF Advisory Committee meets on Friday at 11:00 a.m. to continue work on fine-tuning its processes and planning for possible projects in 2025. The agenda may be adjusted through Tuesday.

Leaf collection season began October 7. Pickup happens in the heavier areas of the city first, and the Street Department will then proceed to go street by street, ward by ward to collect leaves.

Residential Halloween trick-or-treating will be observed on October 31 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
