City Hall News: Week of December 4, 2023
Elkins W. Va., December 1, 2023: The Rules and Ordinances Committee, the Tree Board, City Council, and the Sanitary Board meet the week of December 4.
The Rules and Ordinances Committee meets Monday at 3:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include continuing work on updating the purchasing policy.
The Tree Board meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include: DOF Urban Grant 2024; acceptance of tree selections for Glendale Park; Urban Forest Management Plan; donation flyer; and request for funding FY 2025.
City Council meets Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The agenda may be adjusted through Tuesday. Items on the agenda include: second reading of an ordinance creating a process for zoning/unzoned parcels; appointment to the Board of Zoning appeals; and consideration of a recommendation from the Rules and Ordinances Committee to amend the purchasing policy.
Utility bills and in-city fire fees were mailed out November 30 and are due December 19. Past due utility bills that remain unpaid will have service disconnected on Tuesday December 5.
