City Hall News: Week of October 2nd, 2023
Council’s Finance Committee, which normally meets the first Monday of every month, has postponed its October meeting until October 9, at 10 a.m.
City has cancelled its regular meeting of October 5. The next council meeting is October 19, at 7 p.m.
City Hall will be closed Friday October 6 and will reopen Monday October 8. The Sanitation Department will collect trash one hour earlier than its normally scheduled time on Friday, starting at 5 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m.
Third Quarter Business and Occupation (B&O) tax return forms will be mailed out Friday, September 29. Returns are due no later than October 31.
Utility bills will be mailed out September 29 and are due no later than October 18.
Various city departments will be assisting with the 85th Mountain State Forest Festival again this year that runs September 30 through October 8. Look for announcements on the Elkins City Hall Facebook page as well as the Mountain State Forest Festival Facebook page. Parking along the parade route for the Fireman’s Parade and the Grand Feature Parade downtown will be restricted starting the morning of Saturday, October 7. Please watch for announcements.
