City Hall News: Week of October 30, 2023
The Sanitary Board and City Council will meet the week of October 30.
The Sanitary Board meets Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in special session. The agenda may be adjusted through Monday. Items on the agenda include: creation of CSO Inspector/Pretreatment Coordinator Position within Wastewater Step/Grade Classification.
City Council meets Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will begin with a public hearing concerning a proposal to change the city charter to allow Elkins mayors to serve in other elected offices during their terms as mayor. The hearing will be followed by a regular council meeting. The agenda for this meeting may be adjusted through Tuesday. Items on the agenda include the first of two readings of an ordinance to enact the proposed charter change and reappointments to various boards and commissions
Third Quarter Business and Occupation (B&O) tax returns are due no later than October 31.
Residential Trick-Or-Treating will be held Tuesday, October 31 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
All meetings are open to the public and, unless otherwise stated, held at Elkins City Hall (401 Davis Avenue).
