City Hall News: Week of September 18th, 2023
The Sanitary Board, Rules and Ordinances Committee, Municipal Properties Committee, and City Council will meet the week of September 18th, 2023.
The Sanitary Board meets Monday at 10:00 a.m. Items on the agenda include: discussion on Phase III Projects with engineering firm B&N; discussion concerning the property at 116 ½ 1st St.; discussion on replacement and repair of water and sewer lines in the City of Elkins; approval of sewer invoices; general engineering agreement for Burgess & Niple; and discussion of an incident in Beverly on the 5-Lane.
The Rules and Ordinances Committee meets Monday at 3:30 p.m. Items on the agenda include: construction road closure request protocol; purchasing policy ordinance; proposed change to charter restriction on mayor serving in multiple elected offices; and advance planning requirement for boards and commissions.
The Municipal Properties Committee meets Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Items on the agenda include: discussion of the All Veterans Memorial; discussion of Gov. Kump House; and request for financial stabilization funds for the downtown tree project completion.
City Council meets Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The agenda may be adjusted through Tuesday. Items on the agenda include: acceptance of a lawsuit settlement; an ordinance zoning CSX property near North 12th St.; and request for endorsement of El Gran Sabor’s special ABCA license for the Forest Festival.
Utility bills and in-city fire fees are due September 19th.
