City Hall News: Week of September 25th, 2023
The Elkins Water Board and Elkins Sanitary Board will meet the week of September 25.
The Water Board meets Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. Items on the agenda include: the Public Service Commission order concerning the Whitmer water system; discussion on the Harman water system; Water Board invoices; discussion on water and sewer line replacement in Elkins; and the City of Elkins Public Water System employee compensation plan.
The Sanitary Board meets Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in special session. The agenda may be adjusted through Tuesday. Items on the agenda include: discussion of Steptoe & Johnson’s proposed engagement letter for legal services regarding the city’s consent decree with the U.S. Department of Environmental Protection.
City Hall is working to install a new generator on its property.
City of Elkins and Mountain State Forest Festival officials are coordinating to ensure a safe and fun environment while the upcoming festivities take place. Learn more about this year’s festival here: https://www.forestfestival.com.
