Elkins City Hall News: Week of April 22, 2024
Elkins W. Va., April 19, 2024: The Regional Task Force on Addiction, Homelessness, and Mental Health will hold a public meeting on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Elkins City Hall (401 Davis Avenue). Task force members will provide a progress report on work related to substance abuse issues; updates on sober living facilities, the opioid settlement funds, and peer recovery support specialist activity, including collaboration with the officers and deputies of Elkins Police Department and Randolph County Sheriff’s Office; and discussion on priorities for next steps.
Members of the public, elected officials, and business owners are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will be held on the second floor in the council chamber. An elevator is available. Questions, concerns, and ideas are welcome.
Business & Occupation taxes are due by April 30 for the 1st quarter of 2024.
The 2024 street sweeper season began on April 8. Tickets will be issued for street-sweeper parking violations starting May 6.
