Elkins City Hall News: Week of February 12, 2024
Elkins W. Va., February 9, 2024: The Municipal Properties Committee, the Finance Committee, the Sanitary Board, and City Council meet the week of February 12.
The Municipal Properties Committee meets Monday at 11:00 a.m. Items on the agenda include: discussion of downtown parking; lands swaps with the RCDA; and discussion of the Rosie the Riveter Memorial.
The Finance Committee meets Monday at 1:00 p.m. Items on the agenda include: discussion of IT issues and needs; discussion of budget revisions; and discussion of the FY 2025 budget.
The Sanitary Board meets Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. The agenda may be adjusted through Monday. Items on the agenda include discussion of an agreement with Leadsville PSD for Service Line Extension.
City Council meets Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The agenda may be adjusted through Tuesday. Items on the agenda include: board and commission appointments; revision of the city’s policy for inclement weather closures; appointment of a new municipal court judge; and an amendment to the zoning code regarding signs.
The Street Department will begin trimming trees and brush on its street sweeper routes beginning Monday, February 12.
City Hall will be closed Monday, February 19, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Utility bills and in-city fire fees are due February 20.
