Elkins City Hall News: Week of February 19, 2024
Elkins W. Va., February 16, 2024: The Sanitary Board, The Water Board, and the Finance Committee meet the week of February 19.
The Sanitary Board meets Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Items on the agenda include: approval of sewer invoices; reimbursement request for sewage backup at Reckart Logistics, Inc.; reimbursement request for sewage backup at 103 Randolph Ave.; approve changes to employee PEIA benefits for Fiscal Year 2025 and assign Health Equity as the HSA administrator and Aflac as the primary supplemental insurance provider; purchase and installation of Weir-Wolf (Automated Clarifier & Thickener Cleaning System); and discussion of upcoming wastewater projects for the 2024 year.
The Water Board meets Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. Items on the agenda include: PSC order concerning Whitmer Water Systems; update on City of Elkins’ water and sewer line replacement; and discussion of the Leadsville Agreement.
The Finance Committee meets Thursday at 1:00 p.m. The agenda may be adjusted through Tuesday. The agenda includes working on the Fiscal Year 2025 budget.
City Hall will be closed Monday, February 19, in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Utility bills and in-city fire fees are due February 20. First due fire fees were mailed out on February 15 and are due by March 5.
