
85th Mountain State Forest Festival Begins September 30th, 2023
The 85th Mountain State Forest Festival is set to kick off this weekend, beginning on Saturday September 30th and running until Sunday October 8th. The Mountain State Forest Festival, one of West Virginia’s largest and oldest festivals, celebrates the region’s autumn beauty and promotes responsible development, conservation, and culture of its abundant natural resources.
The festival showcases West Virginia’s vital role in economic growth and features a range of activities, including concerts, lumberjack competitions, art exhibits, crafts, rides, and parades, making it an enriching experience for all.
The City of Elkins will be posting updates throughout the festival, including maps that show carnival areas, road closures, no parking zones, and parade routes.
